The ICAR - Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute (ATARI), Umiam, Meghalaya is organizing the Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign 2025 from 17th September to 2nd October 2025.
The theme for this year is “Swachchhotsav”, aimed at promoting cleanliness as a people’s movement and encouraging a clean lifestyle, waste management, and sustainable environmental practices.
As part of this campaign, various activities will be conducted, including cleanliness awareness rallies, sanitation drives, tree plantation programs, workshops on waste management, and initiatives to promote innovations related to cleanliness and sustainability.
The campaign will conclude on 2nd October 2025, coinciding with the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, who is a symbol of cleanliness, truth, and non-violence.
This initiative is designed to contribute towards building a Clean India, while spreading the message of cleanliness to rural and agricultural communities in line with the spirit of “Har Kadam, Har Dwar, Kisanon Ka Humsafar” (Every Step, Every Door, A Companion for Farmers).
